Barcelona Summer Week is back! From the 4th - 8th of August Barcelona will once again transform into a centre for dance music, bringing together some of the biggest DJs on the international dance scene.
Over the 4 days you’ll be able to enjoy great music all around the city. Beaches, bars and the coolest clubs in Barcelona will play host to the most influential DJs of the music scene, while the main hub of the festival will be the Sant Jordi Club.

It's summertime in Chicago, and that means it's festival season. Streets are already closing downtown for Taste of Chicago, which kicks off this Friday, but indie music fans are holding their breaths for the Pitchfork Music Festival, which has lined up dozens of the most exciting performers and groups on the music scene today.
Today, Pitchfork released the set times for the concerts, which start up in Union Park on the afternoon of Friday, July 16, and run throughout the weekend.
Unsurprisingly, the biggest names mostly come in at the end of the day: Broken Social Scene and Modest Mouse wrap things up on Friday, LCD Soundsystem is Saturday's closer and Sunday ends with the much-anticipated reunion of Pavement. But there are a few gems tucked into the daytime hours as well: Raekwon of Wu-Tang fame and The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion are performing Saturday afternoon, and the exciting Spanish-pop group Allá kicks things off on Sunday.

After his project was chosen as the best collection of the Singular Stop 4 Fashion Festival, we gave him the opportunity to design our next Shopping Bag. Inspired by the current Shanghai Expo and its motto "Better City, Better Life", Marcos has designed an urban, unisex and striking reusable shopping bag.
Perfect for the beach, shopping and all your summer holidays and trips. It will be available this summer in our stores. Use it, re-use it and re-use it again!
And who is this guy?
This music, travel and above all, fashion fan began his career while he was still studying Art History at university. After working for various fashion brands he collaborated with the designer Ángel Nimo at the company Fontanela & Garaban S.L. and obtained the best collection prize at the “Pasarela de la moda de Vitoria-Gazteiz”. After the dissolution of the Company he launched his solo with the Marcos Garabán Firm with whom he has created 8 collections, participated in many fashion awards and opened stores in Galicia, Basque Country and Andalusia. At present he is immersed in designing costumes for the upcoming production of the Galician Choreographic Centre.
His dream: to show in Paris or collaborate with one of the masters of fashion.
His heroes: Designers such as Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood and Kenzo, but also fashion entrepeneurs such as Louis Vuitton and Amancio Ortega.

The summer is here and with it comes lots of Festivals! Deciding which one to go to will be the most difficult part! The Gdynia Open Air Festival will be held from 1st to 4th of July in the city of the same name, Gdynia. This is one of the most important European festivals and received the Best Major Festival prize at the European Festival Awards ceremony in 2010. There are many bands confirmed: Ben Harper, Pearl Jam, Massive Attack, Hot Chip, The Hives, Kings of Convenience, Kasabian… the list is endless! If you are going to be around on those dates, don’t hesitate, buy your tickets!

After so many comings and goings, the next Love Parade has been confirmed; 24th of July in Duisburg, Germany! The Love Parade has its roots in the spirit of a changing Europe. In 1989, it was first celebrated four months before the demolition of the Berlin Wall. It was started by the Berlin Underground under the initiative of Matthias Roeingh aka "Dr Motte". It was held as a political demonstration for peace and international understanding through love and Music.
After a year of rumours and cancellations, this years’ date has been confirmed: 24th of July in Duisburg!

bershka pop up
On the 3rd May Bershka’s first POP UP store opened; the Bershka Mobile Store. Faithful to its passion for music, Bershka has decided to take these container-platform stores on tour around Italy with MTV’s very successful TRL. The first was on the 3rd May in Genova with the TRL MUSIC AWARDS CEREMONY and other cities included in the tour are Bari, Pescara and Riccioni.
The interior design of the Bershka Mobile Store has the same look as a regular Bershka store but on a tiny scale. Inside you can find exclusive collections designed specially for TRL. Limited edition garments will also be available in specially designed corners of the store. Music, faint light, steel and glass complete the look of this mini Bershka space!
A truck will transport the specially designed platform from city to city.
Bershka gets the summer off to the perfect start with the best music and hottest looks.
This is another initiative from the Bershka Club concept

expo shangai 2010
The city of Shanghai has been inaugurated as the location of the World Expo fair. It will take place from 1st May to 31st October 2010 and will be a traditional exposition. The theme of the exposition is “Better City – Better Life” and signifies Shanghai’s new status in the 21st century as the “next great world city”. The Shanghai World Expo is also the largest World's Fair site ever at 5.28 square km.
189 countries and more than 50 international organizations have registered to participate in the Shanghai World Expo, the largest ever. China expects to receive almost 100 foreign leaders and millions of people from across the world to come and visit the World Expo. More than 70–100 million visitors are expected to visit the expo, the largest in history.

space ibiza on tour
This month, continuing our tour with Space Ibiza, we celebrated the re-opening of Athens-Ermue and the launch of Brussels-Rue Neuve and Moscow Manezh with our amazing DJ Smokin Jo and fantastic artists, Foc I Fum. All the events were extremely successful with incredible support from both the public and the media.

This year the MTV awards will be bigger than ever. They take place in La Caja Magica, Madrid, on November 7 and the show will be transmitted live from the Spanish capital.
Since they began in 1994, the MTV Europe Music Awards have been one of the most sensational music events in the world. This is the second time in the seventeen years that a Spanish city has played host to the awards: Barcelona hosted in 2002. Artists such as Coldplay, Madonna, REM, Justin Timberlake, Foo Fighters and Beyoncé have all been part of these prestigious awards in previous years so we can’t wait to see what Madrid will bring!

This 16 year old Canadian boy has swept the charts and the social networks can’t stop talking about him! His debut single, "One Time", was released worldwide during 2009, and charted within the top thirty in over ten countries. It was followed by his debut release, My World on 17th November 2009, which was certified platinum in the United States. This gave Bieber the highest debut by a new artist in that year, and made Bieber the first artist to have seven songs from a debut album chart on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. His first full studio release, My World 2.0 was released on the 23rd March 2010, debuting at number one and went top ten in several countries. It was preceded by the international hit song, "Baby".This summer he’ll start his first World tour aptly named “My World Tour”. We can’t wait to see him live!

What, who’s Tavi? At this point I think we all know who this girl is. She will be 14 years old on the 21st April, and has been featured in magazines such as Pop, Love and The New York Times. We have just re-opened our loved Oxford Circus store with a brand new and powerful image. Modern screens with texts that goes up and down reflected in black mirrors, speaker columns, discothec floors and the cash desk, our Bershka Club bar. Why do we call it Bershka Club? This month we opened in a new country, Israel! Our first store in this country is in Tel-Aviv. To mark this special occasion we organised a huge celebration with all our new friends there. One of the most famous bands in the country, Terry Poison, brought the city to a standstill with their amazing concert for all our guests.

ARCOmadrid_2010 will be opening its doors very soon
ARCOmadrid_2010 will be opening its doors very soon. Many collectors, critics, curators and other agents will be arriving from all over the world for this must-visit event for contemporary art, annually attended by tens of thousands of visitors. From February 17th through 21st, Madrid becomes the capital for happening art, with a programme covering the latest international tendencies with works from around three thousand artists brought by over 200 galleries.
With Los Angeles as this year’s special guest, Madrid will be showcasing a cross-section of art from one of the world’s foremost centres, a city setting the guidelines for contemporary art. With a selection of 17 major galleries, curated by Kris Kuramitsu and Christopher Miles, the art fair gives visitors a perfect chance to acquaint themselves with the art scene from one of the USA’s major centres for production.

It seemed a long way off, but the 2nd edition of the Rock In Rio festival in Madrid is almost here. The festival will take place in the re-named city of rock, Argentona, Madrid.
